What to expect on a Sunday...

Gathering together to worship Jesus Christ and hear God’s word is the high point of our week at City Calvary Chapel. We welcome all new visitors. Our Sunday service consists of brief announcements, a time of worship, a sermon (we teach verse by verse through the books of the Bible), and then prayer and fellowship. 

Announcements

For all announcements and upcoming events and happenings, please see our most recent bulletin which is handed out pre-service each Sunday. We stream our Sunday services at 10:00 AM via YouTube. LINK: City Calvary Chapel YouTube page. The service is recorded and can be viewed at a later time.

Teaching

In the tradition of Calvary Chapels throughout the world, the Bible is the source for preaching at City Calvary Chapel. On Sundays we gradually teach through complete books of the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Nothing is skipped. It is through the uncompromising Word of God and the Holy Spirit that Jesus speaks to us and accomplishes His purpose in transforming our lives. 

Worship

City Calvary Chapel’s Worship Ministry aims to glorify Jesus through song and music as a response to the love and majesty of God. We sing songs both old and new. Our worship style is natural and uncomplicated. We choose songs with gospel-centered lyrics.

Kids

City Calvary Kids is a Sunday school class for elementary age kids to study through the whole Bible. Kids start off with their families worshipping in Sunday service and then are dismissed to class. There are also spaces for nursing moms and families with toddlers to watch the service and let their kids wiggle.

midweek studies

Weeknights are study-oriented with group discussion time. We offer a variety of groups and focusses throughout the mid-week, some going deeper into understanding God's Word, some topical studies. On Wednesday evenings we typically hold men's and women's groups separately. Childcare is not provided for our evening studies. 

Upcoming events

EASTER SERVICE :: March 31 / 10:00am - 11:30am. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the risen Lord! Our service will include worship, a special treat created by our CC Kids Ministry, and an Easter message from Pastor John. We gather before church for coffee, fellowship and prayer, and following the service, our Courtyard Cafe Espresso Bar is open (that supports Missions) and our Fellowship Hall is open for more fellowship.
